STAJO Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

The privacy of your information matters a great deal to us. This privacy policy is designed to help you understand what information we collect or that passes through our service, how we use and share it, how it is protected, and how you can access, correct and delete it. This policy covers our use of information that can or could be used to identify you; it does not cover information that cannot be used to identify you. This policy applies to all STAJO services.

1. Categories of information we collect

Information you provide to us

When you register for and use our services, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, date of birth, language and gender.

Information about your device

When you use our services, we may collect specific information about your device, and consequently about any other connected devices you own, such as the model, serial number, operating system, device settings, device performance, device and advertising identifiers, internet service provider, IP address and other unique personal or online identifiers. If you or your device encounter an error, we collect information about that error, the time it occurred, the application or features in use, the state of the application at the time of the error, and any communications or content provided at that time.

Information about your use of our services

We collect information about your use of and interactions with our services. This may include information about the account you use to access our services, your use of games, your connection status, your service usage history, your relationships and interactions with other users, the content you share, the date, time and duration of your use or visit, information about the links you click, the pages you view and the advertisements you interact with within our services, inferences used to build a profile of your preferences and characteristics, standard server log information, and other information about how you use our services.

Your content

Our services allow you to create and share content, such as text, images, audio or video messages, your nickname and user icon, or other content you have created. With your consent, and in order to enforce our terms, we may also monitor and record your video and audio interactions with other users. When you use our services we may collect your content in accordance with our user agreements or terms and with this policy.

Location information

With your consent, which is a setting of your account, we may collect and process information about your precise location. When we have your location information, we use it to personalise our services for you and for others affiliated with our services — for example to let you register for specific events, arrange meetings, and help you build sporting relationships with other users.

Information from other sources

We may also receive information about you from other sources, including other users of our services with whom you are connected, and from sporting organisations or media services. If you access social media or similar services through our services in order to sign in or to share information about your experience of our services with others, we may collect information from those third-party services. We may also combine information received from these other sources with the information we have collected from you.

2. Restricted use of your information

We use your information only to provide, manage and improve our services, including for troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research and STAJO's internal statistical analysis. We also use your information to provide the services you request, to develop and suggest features that may be personally relevant to you, to offer you personalised content, to enable you to improve your participation in interactive features, to manage your account, to send you promotional material from STAJO and/or our trusted commercial partners, to ensure the security of our services, our business and our users, to comply with applicable laws and regulations including the GDPR, to prevent fraud, to enforce our terms, and to protect and exercise our legal rights or defend against legal proceedings.

When you contact us, we use the information you provide, where applicable, to help resolve the issues you may encounter when using our services. For quality assurance purposes, when you contact us to resolve issues, we may monitor the exchange and the conversation. We also use information such as your email address to reply to you when you contact us, to notify you of changes to our policies and terms, to inform you of changes and improvements to our services, and to keep you informed of other services we may offer.

We do not and will not sell your information to third parties. However, we may allow trusted third-party providers to collect your information for commercial promotion purposes as described in this policy, including the delivery of advertising within our services and elsewhere, based on users' online activity over time and across different sites, services and devices.

Camera and session memories

When a session ends, the App offers to capture it as a photo. This feature runs entirely on your phone. The photo is taken with your camera (system permission, revocable at any time) or picked from your gallery. The final image, stickers included, is composed locally: it is never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never analysed. We hold no copy of it. Intermediate shots are deleted from the App cache when you leave the screen.

The location shown on the image is reduced to the city: neither the street address nor GPS coordinates appear on it, and when the city cannot be determined reliably, no location is shown at all. The "MVP" sticker, which carries another participant's username, is never added automatically — you have to add it yourself.

If you choose to share the image (Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, gallery…), it leaves the App for the destination application: its handling is then governed by that application's privacy policy, not ours.

3. Sharing your information

Authorised third-party service providers

We may share certain categories of information, as identified above, with third-party service providers who supply services to us for various business purposes, such as customer support, email delivery, advertising and marketing (including ad impression counting, website click analysis, verification of ad placement and impression quality, verification of compliance and site placement against industry standards, ad serving, internal reporting, personalisation, user panel segmentation and analysis), security improvement and fraud prevention, performance monitoring, account maintenance and management, and the processing and fulfilment of proposals to other users.

These providers include in particular Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications, usage measurement and crash reporting) and Google AdMob (advertising delivery and advertising identifiers).

Legal purposes

We may share your information to comply with GDPR legal process, to respond to claims or requests for information from authorities, to enforce our terms, or to protect and defend the rights of STAJO, the property or personal safety of our operations and our users.

Business transactions

We may share your information as part of a significant transaction, a merger, a consolidation, or otherwise as permitted by law under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Other users and the public

Some of our services allow you to share your information and content with other users or to take part in public activities. When you choose to use such services, the information or content you share — your nickname, your user icon, your connection status, your country of residence, your declared age group, the type of devices you use — may be viewed by potential partners and other STAJO users. Remember that the information and content you choose to share may be read, collected or used by those other users when you use such services. In that case, you are entirely responsible for the information and content you choose to share through your use of the service.

With your consent

We may share information for any other purpose disclosed at the time we collect the information and after obtaining your consent.

4. Your controls, choices and rights

We offer you certain controls, options and choices regarding the information we collect, how it is used and how it is shared. These controls, options and choices may include the ability to update, correct or delete the information you have provided to us or that we have collected through your use of our service. They may also include the ability to opt out of receiving notifications, notices, offers or other advertising from us. At any time, and in accordance with the GDPR, you have access to the data transmitted and the right to request its removal from our user lists.

You therefore have the right to request access to your information, its deletion or its update. The application provides an account deletion feature for this purpose.

We do not retaliate against you in any way for exercising your legitimate rights and choices.

5. Information retention and security

In accordance with CNIL regulations, your information will be retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy and in accordance with applicable law.

We have implemented administrative, physical and technical security measures intended to protect your information against loss, disclosure, alteration or destruction, and against theft, misuse or unauthorised access. You acknowledge that, despite our efforts, no security measure can be entirely reliable, and that you are aware of the — nonetheless reasonable — risk of improper use. You are aware that information collected by third parties may not benefit from the same security protections as the information you transmit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of that information. We nevertheless select with great care the entities with which we enter into technical or commercial relationships.

6. Information relating to minors

Access to STAJO is restricted to people aged 16 or over. We do not knowingly collect, use or share information about children under 16. Should an account be created by a person under 16, it will be deleted upon notification to the contact address given in section 9.

Where the user's local law permits use of the service from a younger age with the verifiable authorisation of a legal representative, parents or legal guardians remain solely responsible for the use of the account and for the connections made by the minor. They may review, modify or delete that child's information, or withdraw their authorisation, by contacting us using the details provided in section 9. STAJO cannot be held responsible for the appropriate or inappropriate use of an account created in the name of a minor, nor for the connections established on that account, nor for monitoring the appropriateness of those connections. Such ongoing and continuous supervision rests exclusively with the legal representatives, who acknowledge this.

7. Changes

STAJO may update its privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant or substantial changes to how we collect, use, retain or share your information, we will let you know by sending an email to the last email address provided, or by posting a notice of the changes on the services covered by this policy.

8. Specific provisions for minors

In order to protect the confidential information of authorised minor users, we apply stricter confidentiality to the disclosure of information from those accounts, in line with established practices for the collection and use of minors' information online.
